We offer a full range of commercial legal services and have leading experts in each of our nine departments: banking & finance; corporate/M&A; dispute resolution; employment & pensions; energy & infrastructure; EU & competition; real estate; tax and technology; media & telecoms.
As a trainee you will undertake four six-month seats. This will include a contentious seat, plus experience in our transaction based departments such as Banking, Real Estate, Corporate etc. This may also include the opportunity to work in one of our international offices or with one of our clients.

You will be given as much responsibility as you can handle, and will be working with the law, with your team and with clients in real business situations.

What are you looking for in a trainee?

Given the diversity of our business, we look for people with wide-ranging skills, aptitudes and personalities. Candidates should be able to demonstrate good team working skills, drive, ambition and the potential to contribute to the growing success of the firm. We look for applications from candidates from any degree discipline (minimum 2:1), with a strong academic and extra-curricular record of achievement.

How will the trainee be trained?

We offer four six-month seats. This will include a contentious seat and a banking seat. You will also have the opportunity to spend a seat in one of our international offices or with one of our clients. You will be given responsibility early on; working with your team and clients in real business situations.

Sponsorship details

We will cover your law school tuition fees as well as providing a maintenance grant of £6,000 (£7000 in London)
