NETBALL

UBLC currently has two netball teams that compete in the intramural leagues. The year started well for the 1sts in the annual tournament against other law schools. After some difficult matches the team won the tournament beating Cardiff, Exeter and Warwick on the way.

Both teams have performed well in the intramural leagues and shown a lot of commitment in attending practices and Sunday matches. Recently a mini league has been created. This has given the teams extra match practice and is proving to be very enjoyable.

Finally, we have also enjoyed many social events, including the sport launch at the beginning of the year as well as team meals and nights out.

HOCKEY

This year has seen UBLC hockey vastly increase in popularity. The season began with UBLC being able to enter two teams in the initial 7-aside tournament, one of which went on to win it.

The team performed well in the league and managed to qualify for the end of year tournament. Currently they are through to the semi-finals and have a very good chance of winning especially considering they have already knocked out the runners up from last year.
