Emma Bayley-Melendez is a second-year Politics and International Relations student undergraduate at the University of Bristol. As a Careers Secretary of the University of Bristol Law Club Emma wants to encourage more opportunities for students to learn more about law from a business perspective through organising sector talks. She also wants to work with different societies such as EFM or Bristol Investment Society to better inform UBLC members of the variety of career opportunities with different firms and organisations.
Having secured a Spring Week with J.P. Morgan, being an SEO Candidate and attending First Year Open Days with various firms Emma has been keen to diversify herself and gain a greater insight into commercial law.
Outside of her role within the UBLC Emma is a Lloyds Scholar which will allow her to partake in a 10 week internship within a particular department in Lloyds. She also was involved with the social mobility scheme Debretts which allowed her to network with and obtain a law mentor with Keith Schillings who she interned with during Easter.
