Beca Hayes is a second-year undergraduate LLB law student and is the Female Sports Representative of the University of Bristol Law Club (UBLC). As the female sports representative, Beca manages the UBLC’s netball teams, organises kit, fixtures and socials as well as helping with the general running of the UBLC events. The netball teams compete in the weekly intramural league as well as in varsity fixtures against other University law teams. This year the first team won the intramural league and the second team were fifth in their league. Beca is hoping to continue this winning streak, with both teams next year at the top of their leagues.
Prior to University, Beca captained her school’s netball team as well as captaining the netball squad on a girls’ sports tour to Canada. Beca has always shown a keen interest in sport and is committed to building on the netball team’s growing success.
Beca is looking into a career in commercial law having previously undertaken work experience with various firms and companies, but remains open to different opportunities both within and outside of law.
Beca is looking forward to the year ahead as your Female Sports Representative.
