Sonny Stewart is a second-year undergraduate LLB student and the Male Sports Representative of the University of Bristol Law Club. In his role, Sonny has to manage the male UBLC football and rugby teams. Playing in midfield this year, Sonny helped continue the UBLC football teams consistent success, allowing the team to capture an unprecedented fourth consecutive title. Sonny is committed to continuing this success, but would also like to see the rugby team grow and achieve similar results. Sonny has always loved playing sport, also holding the role of Vice-Captain of the University of Bristol Futsal Club. Prior to university he captained his club and school’s football teams, but has always enjoyed other sports as well, twice being a national finalist for water-polo.
Before university, Sonny gained work experience at Allen & Overy which really ignited his decision to study law. In addition to this, he currently works at Nandos, working there during the holiday breaks when he returns home. Coming from a non-selective state school and being the first in his family to attend university, Sonny always has a positive outlook on life and thrives on overcoming challenges. He is looking forward to second-year and being your Male Sports Representative.
Sonny has a particular interest in government and human rights law.
