Beth Davies is the current Senior Mistress of the Moot for the University of Bristol Law Club (UBLC) and a final year law student. Acting as mooting advisor to competitors, Beth is also responsible for organising and administering the third-year mooting competition, alongside fellow Senior Mistress of the Moot, Anisha Sandhu.
By providing advocacy workshops to supplement the formal Mooting competition, Beth hopes to give students the opportunity to develop into proficient advocates. Having participated in the BPP Advocate of the Year Competition (2016) and reached the semi-finals of the UBLC Mooting Competition (2016 & 2018), Beth credits these experiences with promoting the development of her legal advocacy and research skills.
Upon graduation, Beth intends to pursue a career in commercial litigation inspired by a mini-pupillage observing commercial court proceedings, and vacation schemes at Mayer Brown LLP and CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. As a COMBAR Scholar and Pathways to Law Mentor, Beth is particularly interested in raising the profile of opportunities that promote access to the legal profession.
